Best Types of Clip-On Earrings For You

Clip-on earrings have a reputation of being painful, childish, and ugly but I’m here to debunk that myth. It’s true, there is painful clip-on jewelry but everyone has a different pain tolerance for their earlobes. Here is a list of the different types of clip-on earrings from JYC starting from ones that are best suited for sensitive ears to the least sensitive ears.

1. Mosquito Clip

Don’t let the name fool you, these clip-ons are the most comfortable and painless option for those with super-sensitive earlobes. It is designed with a wire loop to provide a snug fit for your earlobe with a soft, silicone backing that will make it feel you are wearing nothing at all. If you're looking for one that is secure and painless, these are perfect for you.

2. Sliding Spring

If you’re looking for a clip-on earring that hides the fact you don’t have pierced ears, the sliding spring style is the one for you. These types of clip-ons give a seamless look and no one will be able to tell that you don’t have your ears pierced! It is easy to snap on, comfortable for the majority and does not turn your ears red. Best of all, they stay on all day.

3. Screwback Clip-On

There are many variations to this style that will not turn your ear as red as a tomato. The best quality of it is the fact that it is adjustable to your earlobe size. When looking for a screwback clip-on earring, look for ones that have a small round piece in the front as shown below. This ensures the most comfortable fit for your ear. If you generally have a high pain tolerance, these and everything else mentioned before are suitable for you.

  • I had my ears pierced once and they got scabbed over about 8 weeks after I got them while I was playing netball I just wanted to ask for the mosquito clips or the sliding springs which ones are more comfortable for school and everyday life for low pain tolerance I think they are cool but scared they may hurt and I will regret buying.
